Mark Povich is an experienced educator currently serving as a 2nd Grade Teacher at the Bureau of Indian Education since November 2020. Prior to this role, Mark worked at Cove Day School as a FACE Adult Ed/1st Grade Teacher from July 2019 to November 2020, and at the Three Rivers Education Foundation as an Education Specialist/Literacy Consultant from December 2014 to July 2019, where responsibilities included enhancing reading instruction and facilitating workshops for parents and students. Mark also has a long tenure with the Bureau of Indian Education from August 1995 to November 2018, where positions included Acting Principal and Elementary Education Teacher. Mark holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum Development from Adams State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Fort Lewis College.
