Lisa Friesen has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Lisa started their career as a Short Term Adjunct Instructor at Western Technology Center in 2004. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as a School of Health Sciences Faculty at Kaplan University. In 2014, Lisa joined Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), first as an Instructor/Director for MBA and MS Management, and then as the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Lisa also held the position of Dobson SBT Graduate Programs Coordinator and Instructor in Entrepreneurship, Organization Leadership at SWOSU. In 2019, Lisa became the Director of the SWOSU Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Lisa Friesen holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Lisa completed their first Master's degree from 1987 to 1991 and their second Master's degree from 1992 to 1994. Lisa also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma. In 2021, they became a member of the OCO Steering Committee at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE).
