Ali Mageehon

Ali Mageehon, PhD has been Vice President of Instruction at Southwestern Oregon Community College since May 2017. Prior to that, they served as Statewide Director of Career Pathways at Portland Community College from March 2016 to April 2017. From November 2009 to February 2016, they were the Dean of Academic Support at Umpqua Community College.

Ali Mageehon, PhD, earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Denver in 1996. Ali then pursued a Master's degree in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies at the University of Colorado at Denver from 1996 to 1999. After that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Denver in 2004.
