Derek Tonn

Derek Tonn has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and sectors. Derek has served on multiple boards and committees, including the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and North Bend Main Street. Derek has also worked as the Director of the Small Business Development Center at Southwestern Oregon Community College, where they supported entrepreneurs and small business owners. In addition, they founded and served as the CEO of mapformation, a prominent cartography firm. Derek has been involved in the disc golf community, serving as an Ambassador for the Disc Golf Association and a Board Member of the Disc Golf Foundation. Derek has also contributed to community organizations such as the City of Springfield Welcoming Communities Board and the Springfield Area Food Shelf. Derek's diverse experiences have showcased their leadership skills and passion for supporting local businesses and communities.

Derek Tonn earned a B.A. degree with emphases in Business (Marketing and Management) from Bethel University in 1993. Derek later obtained an M.B.A. in Management from the University of St. Thomas in 2001. In addition, Derek has also obtained various certifications, including a Webmasters Certificate Program from The Management Center of the University of St. Thomas in 2002 and several courses from Coursera in 2013 and 2014.
