Southwestern Public Health
Ninh Tran is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in public health, currently serving as the Medical Officer of Health at Southwestern Public Health since March 2022. Prior to this role, Ninh Tran was the Associate Medical Officer of Health at the City of Hamilton from July 2009 to March 2022. Ninh Tran's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Queen's University, a Master of Science (MSc) in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph, and a comprehensive training in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine through a residency program at McMaster University, which also included a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Resources Management.

Southwestern Public Health works together with its partners to ensure the health of the whole community. Formed in 2018 by the merger of Elgin St. Thomas Public Health and Oxford County Public Health, Southwestern Public Health serves a population of about 200,000 across Oxford County, Elgin County and the City of St. Thomas.
