Adam Cohen

Adam Cohen is an experienced medical professional currently serving as the Emergency Medicine Attending Physician and Department Chair at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center since June 2004. In addition to these roles, Adam is the Chairman and Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at the same facility. Since May 2019, Adam has also been the Section Chief of Acute Care Services at Dartmouth Hitchcock Putnam Physicians, overseeing clinical and administrative functions for the Southern Vermont Health Care System's Emergency and Urgent Care services. Adam is a Managing Partner/Owner at Southern VT Vacation Homes, LLC, which specializes in managing vacation properties in Southern Vermont. Prior experience includes serving as the Chief Resident and Resident Physician in Internal/Emergency Medicine at Allegheny Health Network from June 1999 to June 2004. Adam holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Psychology/Psychobiology from Binghamton University.
