Oliver Hofmann, PhD MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the healthcare and medical diagnostics industry. Oliver is currently serving as the CEO & Director of SouthWestSensor Limited, a high-tech company specializing in the development of nanodroplet based platform technology for monitoring nutrients and pollutants in water. Additionally, they hold the position of Director at Endostart s.r.l., a company focused on medical solutions.

Hofmann has also worked as a Senior Investment Manager & Advisor at Inventages Venture Capital, a prominent healthcare venture capital and private equity group. Oliver has held the position of co-CEO at COGNOPTIX, Inc., a medical diagnostics company specializing in early detection of Alzheimer's Disease. Furthermore, they have served as a Board Observer at Phagenesis Ltd, a medical device company, and as the Chief Business Officer at Atonomics A/S, a disruptive medical diagnostics company.

Prior to these roles, Hofmann served as an Investor Director at GC-Rise Pharmaceuticals, a leading Chinese pharmaceutical company specializing in women's and children's health. Oliver also held multiple roles at Molecular Vision Ltd., a VC-backed optical detection company, including Non-Executive Director, Director of Operations, and Principal Scientist.

Before entering the industry, Hofmann worked as a Research Fellow at Imperial College & QinetiQ, where they focused on research and development. Oliver holds a PhD and an MBA, and their expertise lies in the areas of healthcare, wellness, and nutrition.

Oliver Hofmann, PhD MBA, pursued their education with a focus on developing a diverse skill set in both the scientific and business domains. In 1997, they embarked on their academic journey at Imperial College London where they acquired their PhD in Chemistry after dedicating four significant years to their research and exploration of the subject. Building upon this scientific foundation, Oliver further expanded their knowledge by pursuing an MBA (Weekend Executive) at Imperial College Business School from 2009 to 2010. During this period, they specialized in the field of Commercialisation, propelling their understanding of business strategies and management. With their comprehensive educational background, Oliver Hofmann is equipped with the scientific expertise from their PhD and the business acumen garnered from their MBA, making him a well-rounded professional capable of excelling in diverse fields.
