Burt Fealing

Burt Fealing has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in the role of General Counsel. Burt began their career at Genuity Inc., where they served as Assistant General Counsel, advising executives on corporate and securities matters. Burt also managed the company's global intellectual property portfolio.

After Genuity, Fealing joined Verizon as Assistant General Counsel, focusing on finance and securities. Burt played a key role in various spin-offs and supported the Finance and Treasury departments in structured transactions.

Fealing then moved on to SUPERVALU, where they served as Vice President, Chief Securities Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. Burt was responsible for corporate governance and securities compliance, implementing a corporate compliance program for the company and its subsidiaries.

Following SUPERVALU, Fealing worked at ITT Corporation as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Burt oversaw all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the global multi-industrial company. Additionally, they provided advisory services to the Board of Directors and senior management on corporate governance.

Most recently, Fealing joined Southwire Company as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Sustainability Officer. In this role, they oversee all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the leading manufacturer of wire and cable in North America. Burt manages outside counsel and is a member of the executive leadership team.

Throughout their career, Fealing has demonstrated expertise in corporate governance, compliance, and legal advisory services. Their experience spans across various industries, including manufacturing, telecommunications, and retail.

Burt Fealing completed their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at Harvard Law School from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics (with Honors) and Psychology at Williams College from 1988 to 1992. In 2011, they also obtained a Six Sigma - Green Belt certification.
