Leonieke van Boekel

Leonieke van Boekel is a seasoned professional in the field of health sciences with extensive experience in research and quality advisory roles. Currently serving as a Strategisch Adviseur Kwaliteit at SOVAK since May 2023, Leonieke previously held the position of Onderzoekscoördinator Orthopedie at Amphia from May 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing scientific research and implementing innovation opportunities. Leonieke's academic background includes a significant tenure at Tilburg University, contributing as a Onderzoeksmakelaar & Senior Onderzoeker and later as Onderzoeksmanager & senior onderzoeker, focusing on promoting research culture within elder care organizations and managing various academic projects. Additional experience includes postdoctoral research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PhD from Tilburg University, where the dissertation examined attitudes toward stigmatization of individuals with substance use disorders.
