Douglas Janiec

Douglas Janiec has extensive experience in the field of natural resources management and restoration ecology. From 2014 to present, they have served as the Natural Resources Program Manager at Sovereign Consulting Inc, where they have been responsible for coordinating the growth of the company's natural resources services, expanding the client base, and building professional relationships. Douglas'srole includes strengthening practices in field studies, restoration, licensing, and program development, as well as business development, marketing, and the development of partnerships. Douglas also supports staff professional development and mentoring.

Prior to their current position, Douglas worked as a Senior Project Scientist at Cardno ENTRIX from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they specialized in restoration ecology, ecological risk assessment, and permitting, with a focus on hybrid living shoreline and resilient coastal restoration, as well as complex licensing.

Before joining Cardno ENTRIX, Douglas was a Senior Project Manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Philadelphia District, Regulatory Branch from 2000 to 2006.

Continuing their studies at the same institution, Douglas obtained a Master's degree in Biology with a specialization in Toxicology from 1987 to 1988.
