Lauren Powell

Lauren Powell is an experienced manager and educator with a diverse background in tourism, education, and customer service. Currently serving as the Manager of Mine, Guides, Aura and Evening at The Sovereign Hill Museums Association since May 2015, Lauren oversees the coordination of Aura sound and light show operations, vehicle safety checks, and visitor assistance. Previous roles include Senior Mine Guide and Driver Guide, as well as casual relief teaching across various schools in Ballarat. Lauren's earlier experience includes serving as an Education Supervisor at Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium and a Safari Guide at Werribee Open Range Zoo. Educational credentials include a Graduate Certificate in History Teaching from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Arts from Deakin and La Trobe Universities, respectively.
