Eddy Almand

Eddy Almand has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Eddy started their career as a SIGINT Analyst in the US Army in 1998 and later transitioned to become a Research Analyst at Presearch Incorporated in 2003. In 2004, they became a Project Manager at SAIC, where they managed technology projects and led certified programs.

In 2008, Eddy worked as a Consultant at Pragmatics, Inc., advising the Directors of various offices and developing scenarios for military operations. Eddy then joined the National Ground Intelligence Center in 2009 as an Intelligence Specialist, managing technical capabilities and data architecture. During their tenure, they played a key role in implementing enterprise capabilities for big data and deep learning.

Eddy continued to build their expertise in the intelligence field and joined Fresh Insight Associates as a Principal in 2016. In the same year, they also founded their own company, Almata, where they currently serve as the Chief Executive Officer. Almata is a global security and intelligence consultation company, offering cutting-edge security and surveillance solutions to clients.

In 2018, Eddy took on the role of a Cyber Intelligence Analyst at Sovereign Intelligence before being promoted to Managing Director of the Tokyo office in 2019. Eddy was responsible for business development, sales, marketing, and operational intelligence in this position. Additionally, in 2019, they became an Advisory Board Member at SAYA University, which aims to create a global ecosystem of ethical cyber professionals.

Eddy's most recent role is as an Advisor of Threat Intelligence at CEL, where they provide expertise and guidance in this field. Throughout their career, Eddy Almand has demonstrated a strong background in intelligence, technology, cybersecurity, and strategic management.

Eddy Almand earned a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2006. Eddy then pursued a Master's Degree in Management from the same university, which they completed in 2011. In addition to their formal education, Eddy Almand has obtained several certifications, including the Advanced Leadership Course from the US Army, the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute, the Certified Knowledge Manager from the Knowledge Management Professional Society (KMPro), and the Contracting Officer's Representative Course (COR) from the United States Department of Defense.
