Joel Moxley

Joel Moxley is a successful American entrepreneur and business advisor, who has co-founded several companies in a variety of industries, including energy, software, and finance.

Moxley's first business venture was BBHedge, a hedge fund for the MIT baseball team, which they co-founded in 2005. The following year, they co-founded PriorSmart, a software company that was acquired by NASDAQ-listed Rubicon Global in 2007.

In 2008, Moxley co-founded Foro Energy, a clean energy company that went public in 2016. Joel served as CEO of Foro Energy from 2008 to 2012, and as Executive Chairman from 2012 to 2013. Joel remains on the board of Foro Energy as an EVP and shareholder.

In 2013, Moxley co-founded Rho AI, a predictive analytics software company that was acquired by GM in 2022. Joel served as CEO of Rho AI from 2013 to 2020, and remained a shareholder after the acquisition.

Joel Moxley attended Douglas S. Freeman High School before continuing their education at Princeton University, where they earned a BSE in chemical engineering. Joel then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a PhD in chemical engineering.
