Alex Pavel

Alex Pavel serves as the Managing Director for APAC & Middle East and Global VP of Embedded Partnerships at Sovos since 2024. Previously held roles include Chairman of the Innovation and AI Working Group at GENA, where Alex drove advancements in e-invoicing through AI and industry collaboration. Additionally, Alex has contributed as a Board Advisor for the Virtual Advisory Board, member of the Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, and Business Mentor at both the Founder Institute Middle East and Brinc, focusing on tech startups in the MENA region. With a strong background in consulting for B2B SaaS, TaxTech, and RegTech, Alex's experience includes leadership roles at Pagero, Avalara, and IHS Markit, as well as a solid academic foundation with dual MBAs from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and Université Paris Dauphine - PSL.
