Erik Wallin

Erik Wallin serves as the Regulatory General Counsel at Sovos Compliance since January 2011, specializing in state and local sales and use tax research, international transaction tax, and providing superior client services. This role includes leading a team focused on Colorado sales tax complexities and cannabis-related point of sale tax research, as well as overseeing the creation of insightful articles on transaction tax. Prior experience includes working as a Tax Researcher at Ryan and a Law Clerk for the Comptroller of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where Erik contributed to policy creation and tax-related memoranda. Education includes an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law, a J.D. from New England Law | Boston, and a B.A. in Mass Communications from York College of Pennsylvania.
