Astha Desai

Astha Desai has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, specifically in product management, UX program management, digital transformation, and sales automation. Astha is currently serving as the Director-Head of Product at Igloo since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Prudential plc, where they held roles such as UX program manager, Digital Product Manager, and Sr.Project Manager from January 2021 to September 2022. Astha also worked at AIA as a Digital Transformation specialist from April 2018 to October 2018. Before that, they held various positions at Tata AIA Life Insurance, including AVP & Head Distribution Technology and Head Distribution Technology from September 2015 to September 2018. Astha also had a stint at Birla Sun Life Insurance as Chief Manager from 2014 to September 2015. Astha's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Manager for automation & innovation at BIRLA SUNLIFE INSURANCE CO LTD from December 2013 to April 2015. Astha began their career at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited in 2006, where they held positions like Sr.Manager sales Automation and Manager, focusing on sales support, automation, and digitization efforts. Throughout their career, Astha has contributed to the digitization and automation of sales processes and has launched tools to enhance the sales journey and improve customer experience.

Astha Desai completed a PGDM in Finance & IT from Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development from 2004 to 2006. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance and IT from Sri Balaji University, Pune. Additionally, they have pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge, including UX Foundations: Information Architecture from LinkedIn in August 2021, Getting Started in User Experience from LinkedIn in June 2021, AI for Everyone from Coursera in July 2020, Design Thinking from Cooper Professional Education and Udemy in March 2020, PSM1 (Professional Scrum Master) from Scrum.org in August 2018, PRINCE2 Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in July 2018, and PRINCE2 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice in August 2018.
