Karlo Biglang-awa, RFP® has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Karlo is currently working at Igloo as a Business Development Lead in Agency Distribution, where they create training programs for Financial Advisors and builds partnerships with corporate accounts to distribute general insurance through Igloo's platform. Prior to this, Karlo worked at the Registered Financial Planners Institute Philippines as a Trainer for Financial Advisors and Corporate Speaker, where they conducted financial planning training and wellness programs. Karlo also served as a Wealth Management Consultant, creating comprehensive financial plans for clients. Karlo is a Registered Financial Planner who provides a comprehensive approach for clients, conducts financial coaching sessions, and trains financial services professionals. Additionally, Karlo has worked as a Columnist for BusinessMirror, writing about personal finance tips and money principles, and as a Freelance Columnist for MoneySense, writing about personal financial planning. Karlo has also gained experience at Sun Life Financial as an Executive Financial Advisor and Field Manager, where they taught people about savings, insurance, and investments and led a team of Financial Advisors. Moreover, Karlo ventured into real estate as a Real Estate Salesperson and Business Development Manager at IQI Global. Karlo also founded The Now Finance, where they host a podcast and creates content related to financial advisory services. Karlo has worked as a Management Consultant at Escala, providing business scaling thought leadership, and as a Real Estate Sales & Business Development Executive at PHILGEMS Realty Corp. Furthermore, they gained experience at Megaworld Corporation as a Business Analysis and Research Officer and Senior Auditor.

Karlo Biglang-awa, RFP® has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce in Internal Auditing from Far Eastern University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. Karlo also completed an online course on Financial Markets from Yale University in 2020, and another online course on Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from the University of Michigan in the same year.

In 2019, Karlo obtained a certification in Financial Planning from the Registered Financial Planner Institute Philippines. Karlo also holds additional certifications, including Managing the Company of the Future from Coursera and Money For Life Financial Planning from Sun Life, both obtained in August 2022. Karlo has certifications in Personal and Family Financial Planning from Coursera, Private Equity and Venture Capital from Coursera, and Management Development Program from Sun Life, all obtained in 2022.

Karlo received certifications in Asking Great Sales Question from LinkedIn in May 2021 and in Successful Negotiation from the University of Michigan in December 2020. Karlo also completed a Masterclass for Financial Advisors from Randell Tiongson in September 2020. Additionally, they obtained the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) designation from the Registered Financial Planners Institute Philippines in June 2019.

Karlo is currently pursuing an online course in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies from Harvard Business School Online, expected to be completed in 2023. Karlo is also planning to take an online course in Corporate Strategy from the University of London in the future.
