John Popolizio has a diverse work experience in the field of compliance and data protection. John (jp) has held roles such as Compliance Advisor at Atlas and Zoom Office, where they provided expertise in ensuring regulatory compliance. John (jp) has also served as a Global Data Protection Officer (P/T) at LECO and TrendzAct, where they managed data protection and privacy compliance. Additionally, they have served as a Compliance Advisor at Muslim Charity and ECAT Group. Notably, John served as the interim EMEA & UK Data Protection Officer at Nippon Express Group, where they addressed multi-country compliance and data protection agreements. John is also the Co-founder and CEO of Sovy Trust Solutions Limited, a provider of compliance services and advisory for businesses globally. John (jp) has served as a Director at SAQR Advisors FZC and as a Member of the Board of Advisors at Ireland Canada Business Association.

John Popolizio (jp) obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Engineering from the University of Bridgeport from 1982 to 1985. John (jp) holds several certifications, including Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) from the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists in 2014, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2013, Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in 2023, and Certified Information Privacy Professional (EU) from IAPP in 2022. John (jp) is also a licensed NJ Security Officer under the NJ State Police SORA program for investigative services since 2013.
