Usman Abbasi

Usman Abbasi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Usman is currently the CEO of Sowaan, a position they have held since January 2020. In addition to this role, they also founded HATIFONE and Humkaar in the same year. At Humkaar, they developed an AI and ML-powered recruitment and onboarding solution. Similarly, at Sowaan Workspaces, they established a collaborative community for entrepreneurs. Prior to these ventures, Usman founded SmartHCM in 2010, where they served as the Founder and CTO until July 2022. Usman also founded SofDigital Systems in 2009, where they held the position of Chief Technology Officer until July 2022. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Usman worked as a Director of Information Technology at Al-Hokail Group from 2009 to 2015. Usman started their career as a Software Engineer at Super Technologies in 2009 and later worked at RIKSOF in the same role from 2006 to 2009.

From 2004 to 2008, Usman Abbasi attended Karachi University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering.
