LaKisha Hoffman has a wealth of experience in the field of education and social work. LaKisha began their career in 2000 as a Basketball Coach/Director for Blue Chip Exposure, Inc. In 2007, they worked as a Youth Program Specialist for Asphalt Green, a Therapeutic Specialist for a Private Family, and a Youth Program Coordinator/After School Teacher for New Heights Youth, Inc. In 2011, they became a Physical Education Teacher/Athletic Coach for Near North Montessori School. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Social Work Intern for COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF AURORA INC and Hinsdale Central HS. In 2015, they became a School Social Worker for Perspectives Charter Schools. From 2017 to 2021, they were an Assistant Principal of School Culture and Mental Health Director for Caliber Public Schools, and from 2021 to present, they have been the Director of SEL and Strategic Implementation for Sown To Grow.

LaKisha Hoffman attended the University of Louisville from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelors of Sciences in Psychology. LaKisha then attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology. Lastly, they attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Master's degree in Social Work.
