Lasse Thorwesten

Lasse Thorwesten is a seasoned political professional with extensive experience in political communication, public policy, and administrative coordination. Since September 2018, Lasse serves as Büroleiter for Deputy Party Chairpersons Hubertus Heil and Serpil Midyatli at the Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD) and has also held the role of Referent für Beteiligungsprozesse. Previously, Lasse led the office of Andreas Geisel in the Abgeordnetenhaus von Berlin and contributed to the SPD Parteivorstand's mobilization efforts. With a background in strategic policy consulting at Miller & Meier Consulting and research support in the Landtag Nordrhein-Westfalen, Lasse has developed expertise in European policy issues through a traineeship at the Representation of North Rhine-Westphalia to the European Union. Lasse holds a Master of Arts in Politikmanagement from the University of Duisburg-Essen and a Bachelor of Arts in Sozialwissenschaften from Universität Osnabrück.
