Thorsten Klute

Thorsten Klute serves as a member of the Landtag NRW since June 2022, where Klute holds the position of spokesperson for the SPD faction on matters related to care and health. As a candidate for the Landtag NRW in 2022 for the Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD), Klute previously held the role of Chairman at AWO Bezirksverband OWL e.V. from 2020 to 2021. Klute's political career includes serving as State Secretary at the Ministry for Labor, Integration, and Social Affairs NRW from December 2013 to June 2017 and as Mayor of Versmold from October 2004 to December 2013. Legal experience includes being a lawyer at Rechtsanwälte Bechtel & Klute from September 2002 to September 2004 and completing civil service in mobile elderly care from August 1993 to October 1994. Educational qualifications feature a Zweites Staatsexamen from Landgericht Bielefeld, a Master of Laws from Technische Universität Dresden, and a Staatsexamen in Law from Universität Bielefeld. Additional language training occurred at Sprachschule Prolog in Kraków.
