Andrew Baer

Andrew Baer is a sustainability-focused procurement leader with over 20 years of experience in global sourcing and supplier governance. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC), Andrew drives initiatives to enhance sustainable purchasing practices globally. At S&P Global, Andrew developed the company's inaugural sustainable procurement program, engaging suppliers in ESG assessments and Scope 3 emissions reduction. Andrew's extensive background includes senior roles at major organizations such as T-Mobile, UBS, and Merrill Lynch, where they managed complex sourcing categories and drove significant cost savings. Andrew is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the University of Washington and has completed a Business and Climate Change course at the University of Cambridge.
