Bernd Christoph Ströhm

Bernd Christoph Ströhm is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience focused on the political, economic, and geopolitical dynamics of the Western Balkans and Southeastern Europe. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Diplomatische Akademie Wien and a Senior Fellow at the European Centre for International Political Economy, Ströhm conducts research on the influence of non-EU actors, including Russia and China, while also teaching seminars on the historical and contemporary issues affecting the region. Previous roles include Senior Research Associate at The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies, Political Risk Analyst at S&P Global and IHS Markit, and Foreign Policy Analyst for the European Parliament. Ströhm holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Vienna and has worked in various capacities related to policy research and analysis, contributing to a deeper understanding of the complex geopolitical landscape of Central and Eastern Europe.
