Dat Nguyen

Dat Nguyen is a Senior Finance Controller at S&P Global since August 2017, specializing in overseeing the financial close process for subsidiary ledgers in Japan and conducting financial forecasting and variance analysis for the APAC region. With a strong focus on compliance, Dat has led training for over 150 employees on corporate accounting policies and internal controls, while also spearheading technology adoption initiatives to improve operational efficiency. Dat previously held the role of Finance Controller at the Vietnamese Professionals in Japan NPO and served as President at Lawson, Inc., where responsibilities included financial statement preparation and inter-company reconciliation. Early in the career, Dat gained management experience as a Store Manager at Lawson, Inc., successfully increasing store revenue through strategic planning. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.
