David Owen

David Owen is a Senior Economist at S&P Global since March 2022, where responsibilities include producing monthly PMI reports that track economic health for over 40 countries, focusing on African and Middle Eastern economies. Owen collaborates with Lloyds Bank to produce the UK Sector Tracker report and with Accenture for the UK Business Outlook, analyzing macroeconomic trends and delivering insights to various stakeholders. Prior to S&P Global, Owen held the position of Economist at IHS Markit, also producing similar reports before the merger in 2022. Earlier experience includes working as an Economic Analyst at Oxera, providing insights across multiple industries, including transport and energy. Owen holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Bath.
