Ronald Joas

Ronald Joas currently serves as Managing Director at Standard & Poor's, a position held since March 2006, where responsibilities include the development of criteria for S&P's Global Insurance Practice. Previously, Ronald held various roles at Standard & Poor's, including Deputy Chair of the Global Insurance Criteria Committee and Director of Financial Services Ratings. In the latter role, Ronald functioned as a senior analyst and lead sector credit analyst for the Mortgage Insurance Sector. Earlier in the career, Ronald was a Sr. Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1997 to 2006, focusing on accounting, financial reporting, and SEC compliance, and provided consulting on financial instruments. Ronald began the career as Supervisor of Personal Lines Underwriting at State Farm Insurance from 1990 to 1997, managing underwriting profitability and compliance in New Jersey. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance and International Business from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Finance and International Business from the University of Colorado Denver.
