Jarad Jenkins

Jarad Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. From 2001 to 2008, they owned and operated Eclipse Window Tinting, where they specialized in automotive, commercial, and residential window film installation. Jarad then transitioned to the military, serving as an Infantryman in the 25th Infantry Division from 2008 to 2014, during which they conducted combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Following their military service, Jenkins became a Special Forces Qualification Soldier at the 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne) from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they completed specialized courses in language and culture, small unit tactics, and survival skills. Jarad then joined the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant from 2014 to 2019. In this role, they participated in covert physical penetration testing, security analysis, and surveillance missions.

In 2018, Jenkins joined the 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant, where they served until 2019. Jarad then pursued a career in the cybersecurity field, starting with an internship at Jacobs from May to July 2019. During this internship, they gained experience with HBSS and ACAS and supported executive leadership in DoD policy development. Jarad also created workforce development process flow diagrams.

After their internship, Jenkins continued working at Jacobs as an IT Compliance Analyst from August 2019 to October 2021. In this role, they produced important compliance reports for the government customer and created a centralized database to monitor cyberspace workforce metrics.

Currently, Jenkins is employed as a Cybersecurity Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. starting in May 2023.

Jarad Jenkins has a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, which they received from Western Governors University in 2023. Prior to that, they earned another Bachelor's degree in History from Montana State University-Bozeman, which they completed in 2007. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jarad has obtained various certifications including CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Project+, CompTIA A+, and ITIL Foundation Level. These certifications were acquired between 2022 and 2023 from institutions such as CompTIA and AXELOS Global Best Practice.
