James Moffitt

Vice President, Spaceport Operations at Space Florida

James Moffitt has extensive experience in the aviation and aerospace sectors, currently serving as the Senior Director of Launch & Flight Operations at Space Florida since July 2015, where also holds the position of SLF Airfield Manager. Previously, Moffitt worked at the Jacksonville Aviation Authority from January 2009 to July 2015 as a Properties Administrator and General Aviation Specialist, focusing on complex property management functions and operational oversight. Earlier roles included Ops/Guest Service Manager at Delaware North Companies and an internship at DeLand Municipal Airport, where Moffitt contributed to airport property development and regulatory documentation. Moffitt holds a Master of Science in Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
