Jim Kuzma currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Space Florida, a position held since August 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing operations, client fulfillment, aerospace facilities, and spaceport operations. Prior to this role, Jim Kuzma had a distinguished career in the US Navy, including positions such as Commanding Officer of the Naval Ordnance Test Unit, Special Activities Division Chief at STRATCOM JFCC-ISR, and Deputy for Force Operations for the Commander, Submarine Force, Atlantic Force. Jim Kuzma’s military service also includes commanding the USS Boise (SSN 764). Educational qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an advanced degree from the National Defense University, where Jim Kuzma studied at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
