Rodger Sykes

Rodger Sykes has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Rodger is currently serving as the Chairman & Director at Space Forge since July 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Director at Perceptual Robotics starting from August 2017. In 2021, Rodger Sykes became the Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at the Department of Physics in Durham University.

Before their current roles, Rodger Sykes was the Director of Claverton Solutions Ltd since January 2011. Rodger also served as the Executive Chairman at Thalia Design Automation from February 2013 to March 2018, and again from July 2020 to March 2023. Additionally, they held the position of CEO & Chairman at Thalia Design Automation from March 2018 to July 2020.

In their earlier career, Rodger Sykes was the President & CEO of MMIC Solutions Ltd and MMIC Solutions Inc from March 2006 to October 2010. Rodger was also the President & CEO of SiConnect Ltd from April 2004 to December 2005, and the President & CEO of picoChip Designs Ltd from July 2002 to December 2003.

Prior to these roles, Rodger Sykes held various positions including VP Marketing & Business Development at LogicVision from July 1999 to June 2002, and various GM, Business Development, Strategic M&A, and Marketing roles at Philips Semiconductors from March 1994 to July 1999.

Rodger Sykes completed their education in a chronological order. Rodger first attended Durham University from 1974 to 1977, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics & Applied Physics. Rodger then pursued further education at Durham University from 1977 to 1980 and earned a Ph.D. in Device Physics. Later, in 1995, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business for a short duration and obtained a mini MBA.
