Kevin Okseniuk

Program Manager at Space Works

Kevin Okseniuk has worked in a variety of roles in the aerospace industry since 2013. Kevin began their career as Lead Engineer at the Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem of the Prox-1 Mission at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2014, they interned as a Systems Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for the Mars 2020 Mission Flight Systems Group. Kevin also worked as a Summer Intern at Terminal Velocity Aerospace, performing atmospheric re-entry trajectory analysis and simulation post-processing. In 2015, they joined The Planetary Society as Mission Operations Team Lead for the LightSail-A solar sail demonstration mission. That same year, they also served as Co-Founder of Airdash, LLC, a company that creates technology to bring clean energy to the world. In 2017, they worked as an Integration & Test Engineer at SpaceX, where they led and supported integrated system testing for the payload fairing of the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy vehicles. In 2021, Kevin began working as a System Test Engineer at Momentus and, in 2022, they became Program Manager at SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI).

Kevin Okseniuk has a diverse educational background. Kevin attended Ravenwood High School from 2008 to 2012, where they were on the Technical & University track. Kevin then attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. During their time at Georgia Tech, they also completed a Minor in Engineering & Business through the Denning Technology & Management Program. In 2016, they obtained certifications in Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Advanced Wilderness First Aid (AWFA) from SOLO Southeast - Wilderness Medicine. Kevin is currently attending Stanford University, where they are pursuing a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering, which they expect to complete in 2021.
