Ayelet Weizman

VP Of Education at SpaceIL

Ayelet Weizman has a diverse background in education and science, with experience in various organizations. Ayelet is currently working as a Minducate Fellow at the Minducate Center in TAU University since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer and Space Educator at Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology, and the Arts from 2018. Ayelet also served as the VP of Education at SpaceIL from 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Dr. at the Davidson Institute for Science Education from 2007 to 2015 and as the Director of Science Education at the Snunit Center for the Advancement of Web-Based Learning from 2011 to 2014.

Ayelet Weizman's education history includes obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Geophysics and Planetary Science from Tel Aviv University between 1991 and 2001. Ayelet then worked as a Post-Doc at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2004 to 2005, specializing in Science Education. From 2005 to 2007, they served as a visiting assistant professor at Michigan State University, focusing on Science Teacher Education.
