Shimon Sarid

CEO at SpaceIL

Shimon Sarid currently serves as the CEO of SpaceIL, a nonprofit organization focused on landing an Israeli spacecraft on the moon and promoting STEM education. Prior to this role, Shimon Sarid held various leadership positions at Elbit Systems from 2005 to 2020, including Vice President of the ISTAR Division and Chief of Operations for the UAS Division. Shimon Sarid also served as CEO of Silver Arrow, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, overseeing a team of 500 engineers in UAV development. Earlier in Shimon Sarid's career at the Israeli Air Force, leadership roles included Brigadier General and Head of Materiel Command, with responsibilities spanning across aircraft fleet management, maintenance, and aeronautical R&D programs. Shimon Sarid holds a Master of Science in Management from both Ben-Gurion University and Boston University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion.
