Sambhav Singh Rohatgi

Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher at SpaceSense

Sambhav Singh Rohatgi has work experience in various roles, primarily focusing on machine learning and research.

Starting in 2019, they worked as a Summer Intern at Tata Group GTIO, where they developed and deployed an autonomous one-shot object matching, detection, and tracking system using drones and Jetson TX2. Sambhav Singh also presented live tech demos for the core management team and potential clients.

In 2019, Sambhav was a Project Intern at RIMTEX ENGINEERING PRIVATE LIMITED, contributing to a specific project during their time there.

Sambhav Singh then joined RUGVED Systems in 2018, first as an AI subsystem member and later as the AI subsystem head. This involved leading and working within the AI subsystem for various projects.

Sambhav also interned at the National Informatics Centre, MeitY in 2019, where they gained experience in an intern position.

In 2020, they started as a Machine Learning Engineer at SpaceSense.ai, where they developed an end-to-end object detection pipeline using satellite images for tracking repairs of damaged houses. Sambhav Singh'swork included dataset creation, model benchmarking, and a demo.

Continuing their journey at SpaceSense, Sambhav became a Machine Learning Intern in 2021. During this role, they developed GAN-based image-to-image translation models to predict vegetative indices from SAR data. Sambhav Singh also worked on developing a modular DL model training pipeline and a data acquisition pipeline for creating a sizable dataset.

Finally, Sambhav currently works as a Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher at SpaceSense. Sambhav Singh is primarily involved in developing solutions for automating the creation of land use mapping datasets and labeling using segmentation models. Additionally, they worked on developing a data preparation toolbox specialized for remote sensing data and validating a tool called Beyond Cloud for predicting Vegetative Indices from SAR data.

Overall, Sambhav Singh Rohatgi has gained extensive experience in machine learning, research, and development across various companies and projects.

Sambhav Singh Rohatgi completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechatronics from Manipal Institute of Technology. Sambhav Singh attended the institute from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their A.I.S.S.C.E. from Gyan Bharati School in India. Sambhav Singh studied at the school from 2009 to 2017. Additionally, Sambhav obtained a certification in Open Source Software Development Methods from Coursera in June 2019.
