Eduardo Velazquez is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Director of Crew Starship Engineering at SpaceX, a position held since September 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing engineering for crewed vehicles and missions beyond low Earth orbit. Previously, Eduardo held several roles at SpaceX, including Senior Manager of Human Landing Systems Engineering and Manager of Multibody Dynamics, where Eduardo led the Vehicle Simulations Group focused on launch vehicle multi-body analysis. Eduardo's academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego, as well as a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from San Diego State University. Additionally, Eduardo has experience as a teaching assistant and undergraduate researcher in aerospace engineering.
