Jacob Overfield

Jacob Overfield is a Lead Software Engineer at SpaceX, where employment began in August 2021. Prior to this role, Jacob worked as a Senior DSP Engineer at SpaceX and served as a Signal Processing & Software Engineer at NASK Incorporated from September 2013 to August 2021. Jacob's earlier experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, focused on various topics such as Geolocation and Digital Signal Processing, and contributions in a conference publication for IEEE ICC 2012. Additional roles include an Engineering Intern at BIT Systems and as an Engineering Technician at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from 2007 to 2010. Jacob holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, completed in 2013 and 2011, respectively.
