Sr. Sensor Development Engineer

James Flowers is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in sensor development and instrumentation within the aerospace sector. Since January 2013, James has been serving as a Sr. Sensor Development Engineer at SpaceX, leading cross-disciplinary projects that encompass PCB design, DSP, firmware, and manufacturing processes. Previously, James held the role of Instrumentation Engineer for the Dragon V2 vehicle, overseeing critical systems such as propulsion and life support. Prior to SpaceX, James contributed as a Launcher 1 Propulsion Intern at Virgin Galactic, a Junior Mechanical Engineer at Hopewell Designs Inc, and held multiple internship positions, including at Siemens Energy And Automation. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Kennesaw State University.
