Johann Strauss

Johann Strauss is a legal professional with extensive experience in trade compliance and international law. Currently serving as Counsel for Global Trade Compliance at SpaceX since July 2022, Johann previously held various roles at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP from August 2015 to July 2022, including Counsel and Associate positions. Prior to that, Johann contributed as a Ford Foundation Law School Fellow at Human Rights First, focusing on asylum claims and human rights research. Early career experiences include roles as a Legal Assistant at Sanford Heisler LLP, a Judicial Administration Fellow with the Judicial Council of California, and a JusticeCorps Intern in family law. Johann's education includes a Doctor of Law from New York University School of Law and advanced degrees in Latin American Studies and International Relations from Stanford University.
