John Dillon

John Dillon currently serves as the Communications Lead at SpaceX, a position held since August 2025. Prior to this role, Dillon was the Deputy Director of Public Affairs for the United States Space Force from January 2024 to August 2025, and a Senior Communications Specialist at USAID from May 2021 to November 2023. Dillon gained valuable experience at the U.S. Department of State as a Senior Video Producer for the Secretary of State from August 2019 to May 2021, where international travel included working closely with Secretary of State Antony Blinken on documentary-style videos. Additional roles include an Internal Communications Specialist position at USAID, Video Producer/Production Manager at National Geographic, and Senior Video Producer at RealClearPolitics. Dillon holds a Master of Arts in Media and Strategic Communication from The George Washington University, is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota, and is working towards a Graduate Certificate in International Relations from Harvard Extension School.
