Martin Wilson

Martin Wilson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in thermal protection systems and aerospace manufacturing. Currently serving as a Principal Thermal Engineer at SpaceX since June 2018, Wilson is focused on advancing technologies for missions to Mars. Prior roles include Manager/Engineer at JACOBS TECHNOLOGY GROUP, INC., overseeing operations at NASA's Thermal Protection System Manufacturing Facility and Space Station Depot, and Engineer/Manager at United Space Alliance, where key responsibilities involved facility operations and materials development. Wilson's career also includes project management at Rockwell International, along with foundational research experience at the University of Florida. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological & Physical Sciences from the University of St Andrews.
