Michael Parker

Michael Parker possesses a diverse background in aerospace engineering and software development, with significant experience across various industries. Beginning with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, Michael's career includes roles at NASA as a Cooperative Education employee and later as an Aerospace Technician, where training astronauts and developing simulators were key responsibilities. After gaining extensive software engineering experience at companies like Trilogy and Opower, including leadership positions such as Vice President of Engineering, Michael transitioned into aviation as a Pilot and Flight Instructor. Currently, as a Sr Space Operations Engineer at SpaceX since August 2021, Michael combines technical expertise with aviation experience, while also contributing to the non-profit sector as a volunteer software engineer for Recidiviz.
