Nickolas Reese is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Currently serving as the Starlink Product Lead at SpaceX since January 2014, Nickolas has held various engineering roles, including Senior Starlink Engineer and Lead Launch Engineer. Prior to SpaceX, Nickolas worked at Makai Ocean Engineering as a Mechanical Engineer, where significant contributions were made in finite element coding, gel pad deformation analysis, and the design of testing apparatuses for pipe handling. Earlier experience includes research and teaching assistance at UC Santa Barbara, focusing on modeling for hypersonic aircraft, and design engineering at GE Nuclear, where components for the ESBWR nuclear power plant were developed. Nickolas holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University.
