Ted Zhang

Avionics Hardware Development Engineer

Ted Zhang is currently an Avionics Hardware Development Engineer at SpaceX. They previously served as a Technical Advisor and EECS Lead at Formula Electric at Berkeley, where they managed programs and designed vehicle electrical systems. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Berkeley Lab, they contributed to research on digital frequency-domain multiplexing for a neutrino-less double beta decay experiment and worked on data analysis for the LUX-ZEPLIN dark matter experiment. Ted also gained experience as a Firmware Engineering Intern at Tesla and developed electrical systems for an omni-tensegrity drone while at HiPeR Lab. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, where they achieved a 4.0 GPA.
