Tyler Carr

Tyler Carr serves as the Astronaut Training Lead and Senior Space Operations Training Engineer at SpaceX since September 2021. Prior to this role, Tyler worked at KBR, Inc. from July 2016 to September 2021 as a NASA Operations Engineer, fulfilling responsibilities as an international liaison between Houston and Moscow mission control, and also contributing as an instructor and specialist in electrical and thermal systems. Tyler's earlier experience includes serving as a Nuclear Plant Engineer at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, where operations and training were managed at the S8G Nuclear prototype reactor, as well as teaching Russian courses at LDS MTC. Tyler holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Russian from Brigham Young University.
