Tyler Schlenker is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience at SpaceX since May 2012, currently serving as Sr. Manager for Starship Engineering focused on the Super Heavy Booster. Responsibilities have included overseeing the development of critical structures and systems, including thermal protection and recovery systems. Prior roles encompass management and leadership positions in structures engineering, where Tyler led the engineering development of parachute and pyrotechnic systems for Dragon spacecraft, as well as work on Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles. Tyler began professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Kelly Slater Wave Company, contributing to the design of surfing wave pool technology. Educational credentials include a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
