Xiaoxue Zhang serves as a Principal Materials Engineer at SpaceX, having previously held the position of Senior Process Engineer at FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. and Senior Materials Engineer, Innovation Project Lead at Element Six, where significant contributions included developing super-hard tooling materials and initiating multiple innovative materials concepts, resulting in patent filings. Xiaoxue possesses extensive technical expertise across the full innovation project lifecycle, showcasing skills in data-driven analysis, materials characterization, and project management. Educational qualifications include an MSc with Distinction in Data Science from the University of London, a PhD with distinction in Functional Materials from Tampere University of Technology, and foundational degrees in ceramics and functional materials from both Tampere University of Technology and Beijing University of Technology.
