Ashfaq Syed

Ashfaq Syed is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at SPAN since May 2024. Prior to this role, Ashfaq was the Sr. Manager of Test Engineering at Skydio from August 2023 to January 2024 and held the position of Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Zero Motorcycles Inc. from September 2020 to November 2023. Ashfaq's experience includes a significant role at Zoox as Quality Manager, overseeing quality for advanced hardware manufacturing operations related to autonomous vehicle technology. Ashfaq also worked at Tesla in various capacities, including Powertrain Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager and Powertrain Process Engineering Manager, responsible for manufacturing test systems and process engineering for key electric vehicle components.
