Ben Sanchez

Ben Sanchez has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Ben is currently employed at SPAN as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, a role they assumed in April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Finance Manager at SPAN from June 2021 to March 2022, where they were responsible for building financial projections, presenting them to investors, and managing the annual budget process. Before joining SPAN, Ben worked at Tesla from August 2018 to June 2020 as part of the Finance & Business Operations team. In this role, they led the annual demand forecast process, managed production allocation, and collaborated with business development. Starting their career at PwC in 2010, Ben held various roles as a Management Consultant. Ben managed project teams, developed engagement timelines, and led workstreams focused on finance transformation. Additionally, they supported IPO readiness, improved coordination between finance and operations, and designed business processes for SEC reporting. As an Associate Auditor, Ben also participated in multiple audit engagements, assessing compliance with GAAP and reviewing internal controls.

Ben Sanchez's education history began in 2005 when they enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for their Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, which they completed in 2009. Ben then pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Accountancy from the same university, which they completed in 2010. In 2012, Ben Sanchez obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.

After gaining professional experience, Ben Sanchez pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance & Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Ben entered this program in 2016 and completed it in 2018.
