Yolanda C.

Yolanda C. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2018 to the present. Yolanda began their career at Smith College, where they worked as a Research Assistant and Head Community Adviser. Their responsibilities as a Research Assistant included designing and programming a solar water heating system using an Arduino, managing a home management system integrating a solar water heater and electric car charger, implementing demand response programs to reduce energy consumption, and maintaining a comprehensive database of demand response programs. As a Head Community Adviser, they served as a leader and role model for the house community, addressed residents' concerns, and was actively involved in house governance.

Yolanda later gained experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at RECLON Consulting Engineers. In this role, they led and managed construction projects, prepared project-related documents, and ensured projects were completed within budget and on time.

Yolanda then joined Dataminr, where they held multiple roles. Yolanda started as a Back End Developer and progressed to become a Frontend Web Developer and Mobile Engineer. Their contributions included developing mobile and web applications and contributing to backend development.

Currently, Yolanda is a Mobile Software Engineer at SPAN, a position they started in 2023.

Yolanda C. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Science from Smith College, attending from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, they received a BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen Mary University of London for the year 2020.
